Suicide Prevention Webinar

New for 2014!  Washington Occupational Therapy practitioners (OTs and OTAs) are required to have 3 hours of CE credit in the area of suicide prevention at the time of their licensure renewal.  WOTA makes this requirement easy (and FREE to WOTA members!) with our 3 credit webinar. Watch the webinar in the comfort of your home or office, complete our online post-test and you will be emailed a certificate to document your education for licensure renewal. If you're a member, log in now and get started.

The discussion is presented by WOTA member Diane Norell, MSW, OTR/L, CPRP. Diane is a full time special faculty member who teaches the mental health courses such as group process and mental health within the Department of Occupational Therapy. She also the Department's Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for Level I and II Fieldworks. Her interests and expertise are in mental health illnesses, group process and intervention, and multifamily psychoeducation. She has been a practicing occupational therapist for the past 30 years with experience in mainly mental health illnesses and rehabilitation. Ms. Norell received her BS in occupational therapy in 1974, from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D., and earned her MSW degree from Eastern Washington University in 1982.

Again, this webinar is FREE TO WOTA MEMBERS. If you are not already a WOTA member, please join us to take advantage of this wonderful benefit. You will also enjoy all of the other benefits the OT community in Washington has to offer. Visit our membership page to join
